Q: Why are Shareholder complaints and questions directed against the BOD and President?
A: Because
we/Shareholders believe they are doing things that harm all Shareholders.
Most co-ops have a
monthly financial report. It includes money coming in and going out,
disbursements, bills, balances, etc. The BOD reviews the report each month to
make sure the Co-op’s finances are OK. The report and any questions are
included with the Minutes. Do Jill and the BOD do that? Do they know how? BOD
members should know. Many Shareholders have these skills.
Q: Did you, the BOD,
review our finances each month to insure that we are OK? Did you correct any
‘problems’? Do you know where our money is?
Demand: We want our long overdue financial reports.
Excuses, blaming others and/or making more unauthorized expenditures is not
acceptable!
Repeat: Jill + BOD
report they hired a new PM (Property Manager) (April?). VE (Vision Enterprises)
quit. Despite repeated Shareholder questions, Jill (+BOD) refuse to give
information. Her (BOD) response is, “None of your business”. Do you know your
‘allies’ repudiate your manners and words? Ask them!
Q: Do you really believe
it is none of our business? Do you
realize how arrogant, disrespectful and hateful these words are? Are you doing
this because it makes you ‘feel good’ or gives ‘pleasure’? Do you think we are
sheep?
Do you believe we act
and behave like sheep? You may be right!
Many Shareholders are placid sheep-like victims. “Evil succeeds when good
people stand do nothing” Who said that?
Q: Why won’t you tell
us about the new PM? What are you hiding?
Q: Who gave you the
right to use Shareholder money for personal matters?
Q: If you don’t
understand things and don’t know what to do, why not admit it?
Q: Why are you angry
at and disrespectful to Shareholders?
Q: Who gave you the right
to spend our money without our permission?
Q: Why not have a
Beer and Pretzel Party for Shareholders who don’t like Whine and Cheese?
Q: How about Bhatsa maku and Yak milk for our Tibetan
Shareholders?
Q: Why not
have bowls of kibble for the dogs we see in the lobby?
Q: Why do you
impose your personal relationships, feelings, etc?

ReplyDeleteAsk Jill Schachter if she tells her boss at Macy's it NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS when he asks her for a report on schmatta sales.
Ask Alicia Spiegel if she tells he boss at Bayer Healthcare that it is NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS when he asks her how her drug sales are going (I assume not well since she spends all of her time at the Valerie begging seniors to vote for her instead of working).
Jill and Alicia would never answer the people they work for at Macy's or Bayer IT'S NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS.
Jill and Alicia should not be allowed to say NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS TO any shareholder at the Valerie Arms who asks any question about what is happening at our Coop. They work for us, and that answer by itself is reason to terminate them from our service.
They are angry and disrespectful. Its time to get rid of Jill, Alicia, Barry Nelson, Fran Rothikin. It's time to send Maggie back to Atlanta. It's time for a new Board.

ReplyDeleteNew people who just bought are not eligible to vote unless they were the shareholder of record on the date specified on the meeting announcement. If they show up and vote anyway without having the proxy of the previous owner, those votes are not legit.

DeleteYou are correct about the record date. The BOD, however, is given the power to set the date at anywhere up to 40 days before the meeting. The BOD could make the date as late as June 18, 2012 or as early as May 10, 2012.
The current BOD, however, has not announced the record date it for the current election. In the past, the Valerie has always used the date that proxies are mailed. Who knows what is going on this year, but don't be surprised if the date varies depending on the shareholder and whether the BOD thinks it's getting that owner's vote.

Information you should have about the pool project.
ReplyDeleteFrom the June 29, 2011 minutes as recorded by Jill Schachter -- "President Ullman discussed new problems with the pool. All 4 skimmers need to be replaced at an approx cost of $70-80,000. This problem is causing us to spend an excess amount of money on chlorine. Bids will be required and work should commence after the pool closes on Labor Day."
The minutes for the September 27, 2011 minutes, as recorded by Jill Schachter state -- "The Board is considering not repairing the skimmers in the pool and holding this job off until after next summer. More urgent repairs have taken priority. This can be held off as it is not an emergency."
Jill was reminded about the issues with the pool again in January 2012 in a letter signed by 26 shareholders.
When Jill claims that she was ignorant of the problems with the pool and tries to blame everybody else for her incompetence, ask her why she's lying.
I read the new minutes from the Bod that are dated from April now that it is June and I noted that Jimmy and Jose are the painters for the building. (Jill likes to say NO COST TO YOU) It is costing the shareholders because the Bod has taken your supers away from the important work they could be doing taking care of our building.

I was also wondering about what a coincidence it is that the April minutes could be answering so many questions about things happening in May and June. The notes about not needing permits for "routine maintenance" and weekend work if it rains both look like they were added very recently to minutes supposedly from an April meeting.

ReplyDeleteAs far as the pool goes, Jill Schachter needs votes! While Scott & Jane & Joe and the table of losers talk about Jill behind her back, she kisses up to them. So she disturbs our weekends and a holiday no less, to get the pool up and running for them. Let's see, $120 pp and only 10 poeple joining...yeah imbecile Jill, that should pay for the renovation.
I suspect there will be yet another assessment to cover all this overtime weekend work for her clown friends, and of course she;ll blame the VACS for calling 311 and getting a stop work order.
GET HER AND THE OTHER MORONS OFF THE BOD BEFORE THIS PLACE CRUMBLES.

DeleteI understand your frustration with what Jill Schachter has done to our coop, but please stop the name calling and personal attacks. As someone who has been subjected to the vilest possible campaign to smear my name as revenge for challenging Peter Mesos and Vision Enterprises for they way they have abused out homes/investments I know it is hard.
Jasmine, Michael and Adam are focused on the issues, not personalities. We should all try and do the same. Jill Schachter has engaged in enough malfeasance to fill 100 blogs just discussing the facts. We should use our energy to educate the people who read this blog and to expose the lies and misconduct that Jill has engaged in.
We can and should do this without stooping to the lowest levels that Jill and Maggie Warford have established.
WE need to get rid of this BOARD!! Right now we have 5 People who are only concerned about taking care of themselves and their friends. They have no interest in the well being of the CO-op! Our money is being spent recklessly and we are all going to suffer because of this Jill Schachter and her BOARD'S CORRUPTION! Question - Gayle Palaski is a former employee of Vision Management. She is NOT a Shareholder, and she is NOT a resident.
ReplyDeleteIsn't it wrong for NON-Shareholders and NON-Residents to solicitant for proxies, when she has absolutely no interest or gain $$$$, in Vision anymore. She retired from Vision. She terminated her employment at Vision. Is this a conflict of interest?
The answer is, Jill and Gayle are friends. In addition to Jill getting Peter Mesos's votes, Jill needs votes and who better to do it, then a former employee of Vision.
While reading this blog and receiving all these beautiful letters, it seems that no on has brought up what I am seeing.
