They hired a new Management Company She wouldn’t tell me who or what or why. She wouldn’t tell me how much VA is paying or what they will do. She admitted she had limited knowledge of management Companies, what they are supposed to do and how much they should be paid. She relied on the advice of “someone”.
Who? Who is the ‘they’ that makes the decisions? Is it Jill, or the BOD or Vision or other secret advisors? She refused to tell me. Quote from Jill, “It is none of your business”.
Jill told me the legal stuff (advice, costs, bills, etc.) is
in the hands of Co-op’s attorney. (Adam Leighton Bailey) Jill hired him because of ‘something’ and he
is a “Super Lawyer” and a “Leading American Attorney”. The information is
available from Jill and his website. (http://www.alblawfirm.com
) I/we still cannot get information. (Costs? Invoices? Why? How much?) Jill
told me the legal costs and commitments are a result of ‘legal advice’. She
refuses to answer questions. “None of your business”.
VA also hired a “forensic accountant’ to investigate
‘stuff’. (Sounds like CSI Little Neck) How much? Doing what?
Jill also reports she receives threatening, nasty and
obscene letters, e-mails, phone calls and messages.
If this is true, it should
stop. If it is not true, she should stop.
She should not make accusations that
she will not or cannot substantiate. She refuses to answer who and what and
when. (If she wants sympathy, she should follow Mark Twain’s advice.)
She told me the Police and her lawyer doing something and
she has “protection”.
Are the Police investigating Shareholders? Is the lawyer
taking some actions? What does “protection” mean? Does she carry a weapon? Does
she use employees to be bodyguards or something with Shareholders funds? Is
this a ‘bad movie’?
Jill also stated/accused this blog is ‘disgusting’, my wife left a
‘nasty’ message, others made or said ‘bad things’, etc. Jill made disparaging
remarks about the people commenting or making critical remarks about her. Questions about financial and other things are
“None of your business”, etc.
Jill finally told me she would not answer my/our questions.
She kept repeating, “It is none of your business.” Why doesn’t she answer
Shareholder questions and give us requested information?

In response to a Shareholder request, Jill did not give me
permission to give her home phone number. It will probably be available from
her ‘buddies’ or Vision. Jill also refused to give me her e-mail address.
(The lengthy call she made to me on Friday, 5/11/12, was at
1:12 PM. Yes, I do have record.)

ReplyDeleteSeems to be their M.O. level. I wish they would tell us this information. It makes me lose faith in all of us for electing such a Board. But then I remember, we didn't elect any of them. Peter Mesos elected Jill Schachter, and she annointed the rest.
ReplyDeleteSince the day I resigned from the Board, "It's none of your business" has been the answer to every question about our building and our management that has been asked of Jill and her fellow Directors.
ReplyDeleteAnother shareholder and I have resorted to hiring Counsel to represent us to try and extract information from Jill and her colleagues. Our lawyer wrote to the Super Lawyer and asked for copies of the new house rules, parking lot rules, security rules and any other rule or regulation this Board has passed since last November. It's been 10 days and we haven't received the courtesy of a reply. The message is clear, "it's none of our business".
The fact of the matter is that IT IS ALL OF OUR BUSINESS, and we need to send a message at the shareholder meeting. We are entitled to know how how much of our money Jill is spending on the Super Lawyer; we are entitled to know the name of the contractor working on the pool; we are entitled to know why Jill lied to us about the reason the laundry rooms were upgraded; we are entitled to know the name of the new Management Company, what they are doing for us, whether Peter Mesos told Jill to hire them and how much they are going to be paid.
Vision Enterprises is gone; now it's time for Jill and her Board to be gone as well.
Nothing surprises me anymore.

THIS IS A PSYCHO WOMAN. Last year during her election campaign she published her phone number as well as her email. There was even a re-mailing of it this year to remind sdhareholders of her telling us "the board should not be dictators and be allowed to fine shareholders". The phone # is 917-923-6947. The email is:Jobomom@aol.com. She is a drama queen, going to the police PLEASE. No one is going to harm her and no one threatened her excpet to serve her with lawsuit papers as ids everyone's right, should she do something that jeopardizes a shareholder's job, reputation etc. As a BOD President you have to be available by phone, email or a knock on the door. SHE IS DISGUSTING, not the blog. The blog is the TRUTH. She is a LIAR. And as soon as a new BOD is in place, Bailey needs to be fired along with the security guards (who do her dirty deeds) and anypne else that had anything to do with BOD. They cannot be trusted. And yes ex-president is right-you PAY to have your name listed a top anything, from Dr's to Lawyer's. He's a nothing and a nobody. Mr. Ullman had top accountants, lawyers and a new excellent new mgmt. company in place and they chose to dismiss them all and hire lacky's. CLEAN HOUSE and EXILE JILL SCHACHTER so she has to hide her head in shame when she walks through the building!

It took the Board several hours to have a Stop Work Order revoked – JILL THAT IS A NEW ONE – WHAT DID YOU SAY OR DO FOR THE NYC DOB INSPECTOR TO REVOKE A STOP WORK ORDER IN HOURS.
At the shareholders expense – JILL THE DOB DOES NOT CHARGE SHAREHOLDERS FOR THEIR APPEARANCE ON THE JOB SITE.
Jill what about the letter in the elevator stating that the NYC Dept. of Buildings RESCINDED the Stop Work Order - This is an OUTRIGHT LIAR; there is still a Partial Stop Work Order on the building and now this 4 foot fence was knocked down.
Everyone needs to go to the New York Department of Buildings Website, type in our address and see the RED line PARTIAL STOP WORK ORDER appear.
EVERYONE SHOULD CALL 311 AND REPORT UNSAFE CONDITIONS TO THE BUILDING.

ReplyDeleteA shareholder called the Little Neck Jewish Center to see if the date for the annual meeting had been confirmed for June 19. The Temple said that the Valerie Arms had reserved the room for that date.
Our last message from Jill Schachter was that the Board was "waiting for confirmation". Well, IT'S BEEN CONFIRMED BUT JILL HASN'T BOTHERED TO TELL US! Apparently it's NONE OF OUR BUSINESS.
Don't be fooled. Jill and her flunkies know exactly what they are doing. They are keeping us in the dark while they skulk around the Valerie pressuring people for proxies -- probably on the advice of Andrew Bailey. This is dishonesty of the highest order.
I expect Jill Schachter to behave this way, but Barry Nelson??? He should be ashamed.
Peter Mesos/Peter Michaels/Vision Management tried to play with the proxies last year. They were planning on saying that only proxies that were included in the mailing to shareholders could be used at the meeting. Fortunately I got wind of this and put a stop to that scheme -- because it was illegal to try to disenfranchise shareholders like that.

I can see the writing on the wall. Jill Schacter is soooo predictable. She will answer every question posed to her. She has been holed up planning all her responses and probalbly has Adam Bailey ready to ring her neck. She evokes that response in people. I'm sure she will have every letter mailed, every flier posted, every question asked and look up with comtempt and fury and have her answers with a sarcastic attitude. Be prepared for this. Be prepared for answers that make no sense, that are untruths and just plain preposterous. Be prepared to have everyone of you, by name, called out in front of the shareholders.

DeleteThe letter shareholders received from the Board of Directors today tells us that a new Management Company has been selected for the Valerie but declines to tell us who it is. This is what the Board seems to think passes for honesty and transparency. When you see Jill Schachter try asking her the name of the new management company and whether she got them from Peter Mesos. If you get any response other than "none of your business" please let us know, because IT IS OUR BUSINESS.

ReplyDeleteAm reading the five page screed directed at two shareholders who apparently asked questions about the Coop's finances and why four of the five board members were appointed after everyone else who tried to work with Jill Schachter resigned.
According to the Board, Maggie Warford ("Maggie from Atlanta" who moved out of the Valerie 20+ years ago) and Alicia Speigel were elected to the BOD even though they lost the election! (John McCain will be President if something happens to Obama? He was the First Runner Up!) Maggie From Atlanta and Treasurer Speigel ran for the Board and LOST. They were elected by one person and one person only -- Jill Schachter
The Board also explains that the "Staff Lounge" is where we can go in an emergency to find the people who are supposed to be working for us lounging around instead of being at their posts doing their job. Somehow this is supposed to be a plus for shareholders.
Fascinating passage in the letter also reveals that the Board TOLD HERCULES ABOUT THE ECB VIOLATIONS, WHEN THEY DIDN'T BOTHER TO TELL SHAREHOLDERS. The Board still hasn't fessed up to the fines we paid this week.
Still trying to figure out who Barry Campbell is and when Jill Schachter appointed him to the BOD.
Finally, the shareholder meeting is June 19. The Little Neck Jewish Center has confirmed the date. Why won't the BOD confirm the date? Are they planning on canceling the meeting if they haven't squeezed enough shareholders for proxies?

Going to that party would be constructive if you talk to the other shareholders and educate them how to vote....forget about getting info from the BOD. They havent answered anything until up to now...why waste time? Tell people why they should vote for Marc and Brian. People can complain all they want about Marc, but once he had the info on Vision, he started to go after them. The rest of the BOD at the time had the same info, and CHOSE TO IGNORE THE ADVICE OF OUR TRUSTED ADVISORS, WHO WE ALL PAY! They chose to fire them. I got Marc's mailing....THE EVIDENCE IS INDISPUTABLE!

In the past unfortunately everyone was Afraid. he uncovered a lot if issues they needs to be fixed. Jill and this bod have done Nothing to fix it. All they have done is create turmoil in the building. Spent our money on unneccessary things. Jill and her board are the only ones who have disrupted shareholders and tenants lives, harasses shareholders and tenants.
